Do you know what is the meaning of the word “Foodie”?
I am Michelle!
I have been living in Cebu for several years and now I am working at IMS Academy.
I want to share my experiences to anyone who is thinking or interested in coming to Cebu for travel and/or studying English!
The first thing I will talk about is ‘Restaurants’. Why?
Because I am a foodie. My foremost thought when I travel is, “What kinds of food can I eat?”
A foodie is a person who has an ardent or refined interest in food and who eats food not out of hunger but due to their interest or hobby.
I went to this fascinating restaurant near IMS Academy called Guo Fu Hot Pot (鍋府 乾鍋 & 火鍋)
(The address and contact number are at the end of the blog. Make a reservation before you go! The place seems full most of the time!)
I really like any kind of Hot Pot, but one I am fond of is definitely the authentic Chinese hot pot.
And ‘Guo Fu’ is the one! I was so excited to try their hot pot even when they did not open the restaurant yet. Finally, when they opened, I knew I will come here very often.
Look at the pictures!
I love to eat meat, vegetables, some fish balls together with Chinese bean noodles. The harmony of each ingredients is just awesome! You can add as many ingredients as you want.
Another thing that I like about this restaurant is that they have many options for sauce.
You won’t get tired of this restaurant because you can try as many ways as you want!
The ambiance and interior of restaurant is also good enough.
They have ground floor, an upper floor and a private room.
If you would like to use the room, you have to pay 4,525 pesos which is consumable.
The owner of the restaurant is from Shanghai. She was very friendly as well as the entire staff.
If you like spicy food or Chinese food, I strongly recommend you try it!
